Jeffrey C. Poole, MD, FAAD, Board Certified Dermatologist
Dr.
Poole received his undergraduate education from the University of
Virginia. He earned his medical degree from Tulane University School
of Medicine, while on a full scholarship from the United States Air
Force. Following medical school, he completed an internship and residency
in Pediatrics at Keesler AFB Regional Medical Center. His tour of
duty included being stationed at Charleston AFB, South Carolina, where
he was Chief of Pediatrics for 2 years. Dr. Poole then performed a
residency in Dermatology at the LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans,
during which he was selected to be Chief Resident. He has attained
the highest level of accreditation in his specialty, being Board Certified
by the American Board of Dermatology.
In addition to his private practice, Dr. Poole is also an Assistant
Clinical Professor of Dermatology at both the LSU and Tulane Schools
of Medicine, acting as their Pediatric and Adolescent specialist,
and remains a Board Certified Pediatrician. Dr. Poole is also a founder
and co-director of the Vascular Anomalies Center – Children's
Hospital New Orleans, an area of his specialty where he has great
interest and expertise. Dr. Poole is a published medical author, and
has given numerous talks on a wide range of topics at regional and
local society meetings. Teaching medical students and residents continues
to be one of his strong areas of interest. He maintains a high level
of continuing medical education activity as demonstrated by being
awarded both the AMA's Physician Recognition Award with Commendation
and the American Academy of Dermatology's CME Award.
He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American
Society of Dermatologic Surgery, the American Society of Laser Medicine
and Surgery and the Society for Pediatric Dermatology. He is a member
of the Louisiana Dermatologic Society and the Greater New Orleans
Pediatric Society, and was recently elected President of the Louisiana
Dermatologic Society for 2008. He has privileges at East Jefferson
General Hospital, the Medical Center of Louisiana, and Children's
Hospital of New Orleans.

Mara A. Haseltine, MD, FAAD, Board Certified Dermatologist
Dr. Haseltine received her undergraduate degree from Tulane University. She was awarded her medical school degree from Tulane University School of Medicine, at the same time completing a masters in Community Health from the Tulane School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine. Dr. Haseltine then completed a residency in Dermatology at Tulane University School of Medicine, also serving as chief resident during her training. Following her dermatology residency, she completed a medical dermatology fellowship with Tulane Dermatology. Dr. Haseltine is Board Certified by the American Board of Dermatology.
Dr. Haseltine has extensive training in complex medical skin diseases and treatments such as chemotherapy and immunotherapy. Her areas of interest include cutaneous t-cell lymphoma, psoriasis, and eczematous dermatitis. She has had training in various cosmetic procedures such as Botox, fillers, and sclerotherapy. In addition to private practice, Dr. Haseltine is an Assistant Clinical Professor at Tulane and LSU School of Medicine Department’s of Dermatology. She staffs a Cutaneous T Cell Lymphoma clinic once monthly with both Tulane and LSU dermatology residents and is an attending at the Medical Center of Louisiana at New Orleans clinics with the Tulane dermatology residents as well.
Dr. Haseltine is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, the American Medical Association, the Women’s Dermatology Society, the Louisiana Medical Association, Louisiana Dermatologic Society, and was elected into the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. She is a published author and has received various grants from both the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery and the Women’s Dermatologic Society. She has privileges at East Jefferson Hospital, the Medical Center of Louisiana, and Children’s Hospital of New Orleans.
